Each candidate must meet Sigma’s eligibility criteria in order to be invited to join the. The following guidelines help chapters interpret the eligibility information contained within the bylaws. Candidates must meet established member eligibility criteria before chapters can issue an invitation to join Sigma. However, there may be times when potential candidates who are on track to receive an invitation fall just outside of these criteria when it is time to issue invitations. In these instances, there are some exceptions. This document provides a listing of the approved membership eligibility exception clauses and sample scenarios to illustrate how they may be applied.
