Her “Homage to New York”

Published on 10 September 2021
In 2002, Sigma member Cathy Peters, MS, RN, APRN-BC, was asked to speak at a conference on trauma. As an American Red Cross volunteer stationed on Staten Island right after the World Trade Center towers fell, she’d certainly seen a lot of it. But she was only a year out and not yet able to put her experience into words. So she created art instead, and it is now a permanent piece of history.

Cathy is a member of Sigma's Epsilon Xi Chapter in Rochester, New York, USA.
